Mice Bio - Nibbles
Nibbles is the oldest mouse competing in this year's event, his 3rd Critterfest. He introduced a few key concepts to that changed the sport of mouse racing forever: an intense training regimen, introducing the concept of sponsorships, and convinced the race committee not to release the mice into the wild after the race. After he won last year's Critterest, he went on to finish a close 2nd at Texas Independence Day 2013. Being in the twilight of his career, he has developed a strong and extremely loyal fan following that lead to an odd encounter during the offseason.
A couple months ago, while finishing up his daily offseason conditioning, there was a pitter patter outside his toilet roll gym. Thinking it was his agent, he went outside before checking to see who it was first. Unbenownst to him, it was Miss Bianca dressed in only her whiskers. Being the consummate professional that he is, he invited her in for some cheese and cedar shavings. What ensued was a long discussion on why she felt she needed to throw her body at her competitors. He understood the "will to win at all costs," but he calmly explained there has to be some sort of balance. She left with more self esteem than when she entered and they have maintained non-sexual contact ever since.
Rumors of his impending retirement are abound, so take this opportunity to cheer the mouse racing elder stateman and future Mouse Racing Hall of Famer once more.
2012 Bio
If witty banter and showmanship could win a race, then Nibbles would have this competition in the bag. As the youngest mouse in the field, Nibbles struggled at last year's races. However, from that moment on, everything has come up Nibbles. One notable point is the increased the intensity of his training regimen. Whether on his wheel or in his ball, something is always turning, even in the middle of the night. Along with this excessive training has come a new confident, calm and cool attitude. He is the only mouse in the field that when picked up, doesn't immediately shit on your hand. This trait, and this one alone, helped him land a New Year's Eve photo shoot and our first endorsement deal in the world of competitive mouse racing. Rumor has it that a music video may even be in the works. Nibbles has thus far been our MIM (Most Improved Mouse, for those of you not in with the mouse racing lingo).
Unfortunately with all this accomplishment, there has come some negative press. There have been more than a few accusations that Nibbles might be hitting the juice. How else could a mouse make such large strides in such a short period of time? Nibbles and his trainer have flat out denied all accusations. Luckily Nibbles' sponsors have stuck by his side. But one must wonder if there is a dark side to mouse racing? Well, honestly... we kind of hope so. The fans demand nail biting, fur burning, mouse scurrying action and we intend to deliver that any way possible. As long as it's a mouse, has 4 legs and a tail, then it's good to race. Actually scratch that; it can have 3 legs and a nub but as long as it can scoot around the track, it's in the race. Mouse racing is like modern day cage fighting, once on the track, the only rule is there is no leaving the track until the race is finished. Nibbles intends to not only finish this race, but to do it in style as well.
A word from Nibbles: "Life is like a maze and full of tough decisions. That's why when I'm looking to buy, sell or build a house, I trust HomeNet Realty. Their knowledge and experience can help you make the right decision."
